April 22, 2011 - Green Lantern track complete, but still much more to be done...

Hi everyone,

Good Friday was a picture-perfect flying day, and I have a plethora of pictures for your viewing pleasure. The bulk of the pictures are of the construction progress of the Green Lantern coaster, but the others I have are equally entertaining....Enjoy !!!

The park was rather packed today:

It's a worm....No, it's a snake....No, it's a line of people waiting for Season Pass processing, or so I assume ???

Still a bit of work left until completion, and I bet work will continue everyday until opening:

Bizarro's train travelling through the Lighted Misters at the base of the first drop:

...And now being "Toasted" by its giant Flame Throwers:

And finally, this is what's left of the Batman & Robin coaster:

There you have it....I am sure looking forward to riding Green Lantern and to see how the park prepares the terrain underneath.

Happy Coastering :)

March 20, 2011 - Half of the Track Installed

Whew...It's been a while since my last flight away from the general area of my home base airport, but Mother nature "Finally" cooperated and provided picture perfect weather for a fly-over of Great Adventure to check on the progress of the Green Lantern coaster...

To tell you the truth, I was shocked at how little track was installed, since the lift hill was completed back in the beginning of January. Regardless, they are well underway, and it looks as if half of the track is already installed. Notice the "Yellow" segments of track in the mid-section. I wonder these specific pieces are that color ??? I'm sure all will be answered in time. Ok, enought babbling...On to the pictures....

I hope you enjoyed this Green Lantern fly-over....And if the day's weather is any indication of future weekends, than expect more fly-overs with not only Green Lantern coverage, but other areas of the park after Opening Day....

Stay Tuned !!!

December 30, 2010 - Snow Hinders Progression of Green Lantern...

Okay, one last update before the New Year of 2011....

As you can see, snow has blanketed the entire area and looks as though it will hinder progression just a bit of the Green Lantern coaster:

It looks like some of the larger track supports are being pre-assembled in the parking lot, awaiting transport to their respective footers at the coaster site:

I want to wish each and everyone of you a very Happy New Year, and may 2011 bring success with the opening of the Green Lantern coaster come late Spring/early Summer....

See you next year !!!

December 18, 2010 - Site Preparation for the Green Lantern Coaster Continues...

Happy Holidays

With this December update, you can clearly see that the majority of the Green Lantern coaster's footers have been poured, and the track supports are in close proximity to the site awaiting installation:

I hope you all enjoyed December's update, and remember to check back for many more that I have planned for year 2011. I am so looking forward to photographing this coaster as it goes "vertical".

I wish each and everyone of you a Merry Christmas & A Happy and Healthy New Year !!!

'Til next year, See Ya.....
